Raised in Detroit, Antonio “Shades” Agee helped establish the Detroit graffiti scene as one of the first documented graffiti artists in the city. Shades turned to art as a means of self-expression growing up, with heavy cultural influence from his jazz musician father. He has two pieces archived at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), among other venues including C-Pop Gallery and Motor Gallery.
A hip-hop lover, Fel3000ft has been a graffiti artist since he was a young boy. Fel realized the importance of his voice and started writing messages about his genuine passion for Detroit next to his pieces - this had a positive impact on a city in dire need of uplifting. Some of Fel’s local work around can be seen around Detroit, including: the gear head mural at HopCat pub, The Fox in Eastern Market and The Believer on the Emerald Theater.
